Such exciting news. Big congratulations to Polly and Concerteenies ❤️We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded an Arts Council England grant for our Musical Stories project across South Yorkshire between now and July 2023.

We’ll be giving performances in nurseries/ schools in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield in partnership with the Music Hubs. There will be family performances at Grimm & Co. in Rotherham, Wath, Cast Theatre and The Point in Doncaster, the Barnsley Civic, and libraries across Barnsley, The Leadmill, with Classical Sheffield, Victoria Hall Sheffield, The Greystones, and more to come!

There will be some ‘Accessible’ and autism friendly concerts and some with a British Sign Language interpreter.

They are new pieces of music composed by Paul Rissmann based on the books Mouse & Bear by Kev Payne, The Dog who could Dig by Jonathan Long and Korky Paul, The Dinosaur Department Store by Lily Murray and Richard Merritt and Mixed by Arree Chung.

They’re performed by narrator Polly Ives and a mix of highly renowned and early career talented musicians including Tom Pickles - Elliott Bailey - Jack McNeill, Louise Thomson - and more to be confirmed!

We have just recruited a Trainee Workshop Leader, Marketing Manager and Finance Officer (more info to come!!)
